Stream of Consciousness

Project Type

Photography

Date

October 2024

In this photo series, I explore the organic flow of water as seen from above, creating a visual dialogue between the aerial perspective and the fluidity of nature.
Water is often a silent observer of human and environmental rhythms. In these images, the bodies of water serve as metaphors for thought: like a stream of consciousness, they are fluid, reflective, and ever-changing. The aerial perspective evokes a sense of detachment and contemplation, inviting viewers to follow the curves and movements of the water. This flow encourages the observer to align with its rhythm, to pause, and to allow their own thoughts to drift as freely as the currents captured from above.
The reflections of trees, the edges of land, and the concrete structures alongside these bodies of water create a contrast between the natural and the artificial. The color palette transitions from vibrant reds to muted greens, tracing a visual journey through time and space. Each frame presents a different aspect of the water’s interaction with its surroundings, invoking questions about how we navigate the landscapes of both nature and mind.
Ultimately, this project asks the viewer to immerse themselves in the quiet yet profound flow of water—much like the continuous, unspoken flow of consciousness itself.
