success is not all about hard works

Can I ft you right now?
No, I gotta study.
(eye rolls) How about the weekend, I just wanna talk to you.
No man, Aps are next week!

This is my conversation with my friend earlier today. I despise this very much. Don’t get me wrong here. I am also a strong believer in hardworks. I think you will reach your ultimate goal by working your butt off. However, success doesn’t solely stem from working hard. You need to have some short-term and long-term goals first. Set an intention first before grinding hard, or else, you will get lost in the midst of the process. Give yourself a time limit (a month? a year?) to achieve those goals so you won’t procrastinate along the way. Surrounding yourself with the right group of people is also crucial. Working with people with the same level of maturity will be helpful because they will make the environment competitive. Don’t be scared of them. Rather than enemies, they are your allies, they are your stepping stones, they are the missing piece to the puzzle. They provide insights and ideas that you won’t receive from those who you socialize with to kill time. Lastly, find the right mentor that will guide you in the right direction. If you are doing all these, then keep grindin hard!
