some cliche words, but true words

Life is more than buying stuff that we don’t need and accumulating them over time. I’m sure that there are plenty of things we hold onto for a good reason. Treasures from our travels, family heirlooms, sentimental birthday cards—all justifiable keepsakes. Then there are the odds and ends we accumulate just because we have the space to store them. You know, the “But what if I need this one day?” items. It seems like a rather harmless habit—until those nonessentials add up and turn your cabinets and closets into living nightmares. The chaos stops here. It’s time to repurpose and recycle.
On a different note, buying stuff for the sake of buying it is merely ridiculous. And I was once like that. “Oh, there is a new deal on Princess Polly. I need to buy something so that I don’t miss out.” Oh, God. It is a pain to look back on my old self. Quarantine has taught me to be less wasteful. It is a waste of my money and time knowing that the stuff that I buy will only become a decoration in my closet or on my table. More importantly, it is a waste to our environment, our planet. I don’t want to sound cliche, but it is true. I don’t have stats to show how our planet is hurting because of our desires and needs. But take my word for it, THINK before buying something. Do I really need it? In what ways will it improve my life? To what extent will it serve me?
On top of saving the turtle, also consider saving our planet.
