the perks of being busy

We humans are lazy by nature.Take myself for example, I’m a lazy person if I wouldn’t find tactics to get shit done. I would sit in my chair -- having all my work out on the desk, of course -- and watch Netflix all day. Instead of wasting my life in my chair, I found a strategy to keep myself productive and keep the momentum up.
My strategy is to stay busy, at all times. The moment I’m not doing something, I often fall into this big hole. Once I sit on the couch watching TV, I will stay on the couch — And that's why I try to avoid the couch.
It’s important to understand that we’re talking about being REAL busy, not fake busy. One will lead to happiness, the other one will lead to depression. Fake busy is the type of busy when someone you don’t like ask to hang out and you reply with your default answer “shoot, I’m busy.”
You can never be busy without making the first move, typically by getting out of your comfort zone. After making the first step, you might find yourself stuck somewhere. When that happens, make some changes in your actions, such as a change of focus or a brief break.
For me, being in constant motion makes me feel better throughout the day. Try it. Be REAL busy. See the effects for yourself.
