unpopular opinion about TikTok

Ever since TikTok became popular, people around me have become obsessed with that app. It's entertaining, I admit. But I just can't do the app. I've never had the temptation to download the app. I despise how everyone can't get over the hot guys on TikTok. Like, come on. It's not like you will meet them one day. Everyone would be talking about them 24/7, and it really got on my nerves.


This was before the quarantine.


Once the coronavirus hit, people had more time on their hands, so TikTok started to blow up. Scrolling through my ig feed or sc stories, I started seeing many "what I eat in a day" or "perfect body type" TikTok videos.


This just makes me hate it even more.


My friends recently told me that their TikTok for you page is filled with pro-anorexia videos. Some provided wonderful diet tips such as "sleeping all day to avoid eating" and "fasting for days."


If you are struggling with an eating disorder, you may find yourself in an extremely vulnerable state, being persuaded more easily than you may normally. I don't even have TikTok downloaded, and it's already making a negative impact on my life. I don't want to see what other people are eating every day, especially when I'm still struggling. My feed is alluring my ED behaviors and imposing me with restrictive eating habits.
